On April 10, at the newly renovated Hippodrome Theater in Richmond, Glave and Holmes won a Honor Award for Design Excellence for their work with the Richmond Studio of Charles Luck Stone Center. This award was given through the Richmond AIA Chapter and was accepted by Andrew Moore of Glave and Holmes. He said it was one of the most collaborative projects he has every worked on and thanked Peter Fraser, Nelson Byrd Woltz, Ansel Olson, and Martha Culpepper.

The head jury member of AIA said if a grand prize could be given, Charles Luck Stone Center would have won. It was by far the best of all the projects submitted this year.

When we set out to design our new studio concept the challenge was to create a space that provides inspiration, to showcase inventive thinking and to display stone in a manner that elevates and pays homage to the product.  The amazing design team rewarded us with a space that is both humble and reverent, a place where the heritage and majesty of stone and the human creative spirit are honored.

Congratulations to all those who had a part in design the Richmond studio and making our Brand come to life!!
