Although the 24th annual International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) was held this past week, it was my first time attending! Interactive booths and ingenious designers from all over the world filled close to every square inch of New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

Upon reaching the bottom of the escalator, I was mesmerized by the wondrous glitz and glamour! Tom Dixon’s booth, 1104, to my immediate right, instantaneously charmed me. Tom Dixon is a British lighting and furniture designer that is inspired by his culture’s unique heritage. His mission is “to revive the British furniture industry.”

Dixon’s booth featured items from his new collection including Etch Light fixtures, the Offcut Stool in Fluoro, the Fan Chair and Peg Coat Stands. His unconventional use of enticing, vibrant color, space and lighting won their booth best in show!
