Thanksgiving always seems to get lost between the ghosts and goblins and the countdown-to-Christmas frenzy. And that’s just fine with me. Of all of our holidays, I hope Thanksgiving never gets overly commercialized. It’s a humble, simple day where the intention is to focus on gratitude and family and fellowship. And food. The colors of the Thanksgiving meal are of the earth, sometimes muted and dull, but always contrasted with vivid pops of color that bring a lushness and decadence to the modest feast. Enter the cranberry. Bright, bold, and sassy. A staple on any Thanksgiving table and just as popular in the fall and winter seasons on the runway. Holiday decor is rich with cranberry tones and formal rooms continue to utilize this classic color as an accent or main focal point.
