Writing a post about Steve Jobs, his legendary career, his visionary approach, and his sad passing is a challenge.  There are probably millions of blogs, tweets and articles floating around the virtual world so its difficult to say something original.  As one of the most successful and celebrated entrepreneurs in the world, his impact is almost immeasurable.  His products and revolutionary approach to business, creativity and leadership certainly inspired millions of people, including us at Charles Luck.  In his honor, we’ve selected some favorite quotes and images to celebrate his life.  Rest in Peace, Steve – and thanks for making our world a better place.

Remembering Steve Jobs in quotes

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

“The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”

“There’s nothing that makes my day more than getting an email from some random person in the universe who just bought an iPad over in the U.K. and tells me the story about how it’s the coolest product they’ve ever brought home in their lives. That’s what keeps me going. It’s what kept me five years ago, it’s what kept me going 10 years ago when the doors were almost closed. And it’s what will keep me going five years from now whatever happens.”

“Every once in a while a revolutionary product comes along that changes everything. It’s very fortunate if you can work on just one of these in your career. … Apple’s been very fortunate in that it’s introduced a few of these.”

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

“When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: “If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you’ll most certainly be right.” It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer has been “no” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”

Wonderful heart felt post. Not an easy subject matter as you alluded to in your blog.
Apple has positively impacted my life by making every day a little more efficient, a little more entertaining, & a lot more creative. There will never be another one quite like Steve.
