One of Pantone’s 2012 Spring Colors – Cockatoo – is starting to make its debut.  Cockatoo is an unusual, whimsical pale blue green and is destined to be a big hit this spring.  It is a cool flattering shade that will translate beautifully into garments, accessories, textiles and paint selections.  The teal-like color is perfect because it’s deep, rich and jewel-toned enough to stand by itself but it’s also subtle enough that it doesn’t overwhelm. It looks great with earthy, natural tones and colors and it also works well with many favorite color palettes of summer. And of course, Cockatoo look stunning set against the rich browns, sienna and umber colors of stone.
