As part of our ongoing partnership with the VCU Fashion Design and Merchandising school, today’s post features a mood board from Leslie Hamilton. My inspiration comes from the feeling of being alone and at peace in nature. I grew up playing and spending a lot of time in the woods behind my house. Swimming in the creek in the summer, sledding down the hills in the winter, and just wandering around any other time. I even managed to get lost a few times! I had a strong connection to those woods, It was so comforting and peaceful. These images bring back a lot of those feelings for me! The solidarity, and a dream like nostalgia I often feel, now that I live in a city.
