A Charles Luck Perspective

What’s Your Story?

Categories: Inspiration, Things We Love

I came across an image the other day that really struck me.  It resonates because we spend a lot of time at work talking about our personal stories – those stories we often keep locked away but that ultimately shape who we are, how we act, and what we value.  It’s a worthwhile exercise trying to figure out your story.  But as creatives, we also have the opportunity to express our story – and the stories of others, particularly our clients – in unique ways.  What colors do we select to capture a memory or a mood?  What’s the architectural vocabulary of a home design?  How do we mix and match plants to create a refuge in the garden?  It’s important to know our own story, but just as important to take the time to understand the stories of the people we work with or work for to help them articulate their very own and very personal outlook on the world. What stories have you told lately?
