In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I’ve created inspirational mood boards celebrating the color pink. Pink has never been my favorite color, but with two young girls in the house I’ve been saturated with it, and slowly have grown to appreciate its enthusiastic appearance in nature, on the runway, and even in the home (in small and carefully executed doses, of course).

Pink is emerging as an important color and will continue to make its mark on the runway and appear as accents in interior design in 2012 and 2013 in three main color stories: ultra-feminine shades of powered pinks, dusty rose, and pale shell; vibrant deep raspberry, fuchsia and cerise; and finally, earthy and fleshy tones of salmon, coral and apricot.
